Position: Site Coordinator, Waynflete Summer

Mission: Waynflete’s mission is to engage the imagination and intellect of our students, to guide them toward self-governance and self-knowledge, and to encourage their responsible and caring participation in the world. Our aim is to provide a program that combines security with challenge, playful exploration with rigorous expectation, and range of experience with depth of inquiry.
Compensation: $20 - $23 / hour based on experience.
Dates of Employment: 7 week commitment, weeks noted below

Camp Weeks: 6/16, 6/23, 6/30, 7/7, 7/14, 7/21, 7/28

Camp is closed on 7/4, Independence Day
Camp Hours:

Camp Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday

Staff Hours: approximately 8:00am to 4:00pm daily

Responsibilities:
-
Work closely with Program Directors and Camp Leadership team to:
-
Check campers into and out of their appropriate program daily.
-
Run fun and engaging morning meetings.
-
Address campers medical needs:
-
Administering and recording medications
-
Attending to and recording first aid incidents
-
Communicating medical concerns with leadership team
-

-
Work with any campers with behavioral challenges outside of their program if deemed necessary.

Calling parents/guardians as needed.
-
Fill in for team absences as needed.
-
Compile/update binders with camper records and attendance tracking prior to each camp week.
-
Supervise and direct campers arriving late or leaving early from camp.

Work closely with the Camp Communications Manager to:

Produce weekly newsletter updates.
-
Communicate weather related changes to schedules.
-

Work closely with Camp Director to:
-
Communicate issues, concerns, or needs in a timely manner
-
Meet regularly to discuss general operations of campus
-

Lead by example in respect and care for the community and campus.
-
Present a safe and inclusive environment for all.
-
Keep the safety of campers and the camp team in mind at all times.
-
Attend all required leadership and staff meetings and pre-season training sessions.
Skills & Qualifications:
-
21+ years of age
-
Experience working with children (ages 4-16)
-
Experience in a leadership role in a similar setting
-
First Aid/CPR/AED certified & WFA certified (WFR preferred)
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Comfortable navigating behavioral challenges with campers.

Comfortable handling First Aid/medical needs.
-
Able to communicate with parents/guardians in a clear, calm and professional manner.

Previous experience with diverse populations
- Experience in using Google Suite and CampBrain (preferred)
