Waynflete seeks a part-time Teacher for the preK-Gr. 1 division of its Afterschool Program, to begin in early September. The typical schedule is M, T, TH, F from 2:45-5:30 PM, with one afternoon until 6:00 PM, and Wednesdays from 11:45 AM – 6:00 PM. Additional full day Afterschool programming occurs immediately before and after the school year and on selected days during the year. 

Teaching responsibilities include lesson planning; design and implementation of one age division’s curriculum in line with the Afterschool Standards and School core values; collaborate with co-teacher; communicate with daytime classroom teachers, parents and Enrichment Director; provide timely feedback to student mentors; supervision of students to maintain an environment that is physically and emotionally safe.

Qualifications: Teaching experience in a school or recreational environment desired.  A qualified candidate may also have an opportunity to substitute for teachers in the Lower School and run camp programming in the summers.
