Waynflete School is seeking a full-time Middle School Assistant to support the work of the Middle School Program (Grades 6-8) beginning in late June. The Middle School is one of three divisions of Waynflete and is comprised of approximately 140 students.
The Middle School Assistant has responsibility for maintaining attendance records; managing health concerns and recordkeeping in consultation with the Health Coordinator; communicating regularly with families, students and faculty; drafting and proofreading all correspondence; and coordinating and staffing special events in the division. A significant portion of the job is devoted to assisting the Middle School Director in all logistical tasks and matters, including schedule management and serving as administrative support. We are welcoming applicants who are interested in this role year-round or as a school-year only position.
Applicants should have a B.A. degree, strong interpersonal, analytic and organizational skills, demonstrated expertise in written and oral communication and data management, and an appreciation for Waynflete’s particular mission and goals. Experience in an independent school or other non-profit organization is preferred.
