Waynflete School, an independent co-educational day school serving 560 students ages 3 to 18 is seeking a Facilities Director to begin immediately. This is a full-time, year-round position. Responsibilities include oversight of the physical operation of the School, daily maintenance, repairs, and cleaning, capital projects, safety, security, grounds, and athletic field maintenance. The successful candidate will possess:

• Experience as a facilities manager with school experience preferred,

• Substantial supervisory experience to lead and oversee a staff of 9,
• The ability to work collaboratively with all members of the School community and outside vendors and contractors,
• Knowledge of environmental, health, safety, and maintenance standards as they relate to the physical plant and to schools, including knowledge of city codes, OSHA and safety training,
• Working knowledge of building systems, e.g. heating, ventilation, electrical, security,
• Experience overseeing construction projects, permitting processes, and historic preservation regulations,
• Excellent communication, listening, organizational, and business skills,
• Computer competence,
• Flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor.
