Waynflete seeks an inventive and engaging English teacher to begin in August for the 2021–2022 school year and beyond. Responsibilities will include teaching in both the middle and upper schools, advising in the upper school, and overseeing co-curricular activities and/or coaching. The position requires a broad knowledge of literature from a range of cultures and periods, along with skill in teaching both critical and creative writing. A competitive applicant will have passion for innovation in the classroom, experience with discussion-based learning, and dedication to anti-racist pedagogy. Significant teaching experience, experience in similar school environments, and an advanced degree are preferred but not required.
