Description

Waynflete School is seeking a thoughtful, organized, and community-minded professional to join our Auxiliary Programs team. The Auxiliary Programs Manager plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of our Extended Day program, Vacation Camps, and Faculty and Staff Childcare during the school year, and serves as a member of the Summer at Waynflete Leadership Team during the summer months.

Schedule & Compensation

  • School Year (Mid August – Mid June): 20-29 hours/week, Monday–Friday; remote work available outside of in-person hours

  • Summer (Mid June – Mid August): Up to 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; all hours in-person

  • Part-time, exempt position; salary equates to $23-26/hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and support a team of 13+ Extended Day staff

  • Manage staff scheduling, payroll timecards, and professional development

  • Oversee program logistics, enrollment, family communication, and budget tracking

  • Ensure DHHS licensing compliance and student safety across all programs

  • Build meaningful relationships with students, families, and the broader Portland community

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Recreation Management, or related field preferred

  • 3–5 years of experience working with children in an educational or youth program setting

  • 2+ years of team leadership experience

  • CPR/First Aid/AED certified; WFA/WFR preferred

  • Proficiency in Google Suite; CampBrain experience a plus
