Description
Waynflete seeks to fill the position of Associate Dean of Admission who reports directly to the Dean of Admission and works with admission officers, faculty, and current and prospective families to create and sustain an equitable and just environment for all members of our school community.

Specific responsibilities include creating a warm welcoming environment for prospective families, coordinating visits and interviews, database management, research and reporting, and managing the daily operations of the Admission Office, including clerical support. Our work environment is fast-paced where the team balances multiple priorities and deadlines. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong organization skills and close attention to detail, dedicating considerable time working in database systems and other software/system documents. We operate with a commitment to maintain high standards and work efficiently. Additional duties and projects are assigned by the Dean of Admission. We welcome candidates with 1-3 years of experience in an Independent School admission office, or other external facing roles.

Qualifications – The Office of Admission seeks a talented, compassionate, and engaging individual with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to handle and process high-volume, time-sensitive information, superior organization abilities and attention to detail. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google drive/sheets/docs, and working with database systems for record keeping, including import, query, data standards, and reporting is preferred, including the ability to confidently learn new technologies. This includes working comfortably remotely if necessary. Applicants should have a B.A. degree. The Associate Dean of Admission must also possess a sense of humor, a commitment to independent education and the energy to participate in a fast-paced office environment. This is a full-time, year-round position with a negotiable start date somewhere between April 1 and July 1, depending on individual circumstances. In addition to regular office hours, periodic evening and weekend work is expected. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
